Steve Pate has served as our Pastor for 28 years.  His wife is Traci Wheelock Pate.  They have two grown children, Jordan, who is married to Holly Tipton Pate and Kati, who is married to Jerry Sheffield.  Steve and Traci are the proud grandparents of two grandsons, Silas and Ryder Pate.

Steve is a graduate of East Tennessee State University.  He answered the call to ministry as a member of Boones Creek Baptist Church.  He was the Youth Pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Gray, TN, prior to coming to Harmony as our Pastor in October of 1994.

Pastor Steve has served the Holston Baptist Association as moderator and chaired various committees there.  He is a long time board member of Lamplight Theater in Kingsport, TN,

He is active in the Sonrise Emmaus Community.

His passion is sharing the gospel of Jesus and personal ministry to hurting people.  He has a heart for missions, having been on International Mission trips eight times.  He has led our church in multiple national and home mission opportunities.
